Morgensolen Lodge usually meets the second Friday of the month at the Masonic Hall, 20 Washington St. in Beverly, Massachusetts. However, please check our Kalendar and/or our newsletter “The Nyheter” for exact dates, locations and times.
Our meetings are open to anyone with an interest in Scandinavian culture, heritage, traditions and history. You do not have to be a member to attend one of our meetings. You do not have to be Norwegian to join; you do not need to be Scandinavian. All you need is a desire to have fun, enjoy the fraternalism, meet new people and hopefully, participate in Morgensolen's many activities.
We are always looking for people with special Scandinavian talents to work into our future lodge programs. If you have any Scandinavian abilities in storytelling, painting (we call it “rosemaling”), woodcarving, singing, dancing, fiddling, musicmaking, cooking, genealogy, etc. we would like to hear from you. If you have any interesting Norwegian or other Scandinavian artifacts, antiques, hand-me-down stories, books, or other arts and crafts, we would like to hear from you. We can work you in as a guest speaker, demonstrator or performer at one of our regular monthly meetings, or if you have only a small item you would like to share, we can work you in with others from the lodge who may have other similar items, stories, demonstrations or performances to share.
